Aelum at Knowledge 2026: AI Stops Assisting, Starts Executing

ServiceNow Knowledge 2026 Press Release

Las Vegas, Nevada, May 2026 — Aelum attended ServiceNow Knowledge 2026, ServiceNow’s flagship global conference held May 5-7 in Las Vegas. Komal Gupta, CEO of Aelum Consulting, represented the company across all three days of keynotes, partner sessions, and product announcements.

K26 this year was a platform reorientation. ServiceNow moved from positioning AI as an assistant to establishing it as an autonomous operator, one that senses context, makes decisions, executes workflows, and governs itself. The architecture introduced across the three days: Sense, Decide, Act, Secure, now defines how every agent, model, and workflow runs on the platform.

The Control Layer Takes Central Stage

ServiceNow CEO Bill McDermott opened with a problem statement: AI chaos. Agents running across enterprise systems with no visibility, no measurement, and no accountability. President Amit Zavery was direct: advisory AI has run its course. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang joined on stage, signalling depth of the partnerships behind what followed.

Key announcements:

ServiceNow Otto unifies Now Assist, Moveworks and AI Experience into one AI layer spanning every department and system, available first in EmployeeWorks and AI control tower, rolling across all products in 2026. AI Control Tower was reframed as a full enterprise AI command centre across 5 dimensions: Discover, Observe, Govern, Secure and Measure.

Autonomous Workforce expanded with role-specific AI Specialists for IT, CRM, employee services, and security. Action Fabric opens ServiceNow’s full system to any external AI agent via a generally available MCP server; Anthropic is the first named design partner.

ServiceNow and NVIDIA introduced Project Arc, an enterprise autonomous desktop agent secured by NVIDIA’s OpenShell sandboxed runtime and governed by AI Control Tower. ServiceNow’s extended Microsoft partnership runs AI Control Tower governance across Azure’s Microsoft Foundry and Copilot Studio. ServiceNow AI Specialists are now available on Microsoft 365 Marketplace.

“ServiceNow didn’t talk about AI features on Day 1. They talked about AI accountability, AI identity, and AI outcomes. That signals exactly where enterprise demand has moved, and it changes what our clients need to prioritise.”

— Komal Gupta CEO, Aelum Consulting

What stood out to Komal on Day 1 was the shift in who is accountable. ServiceNow is making the platform responsible for governance, not the individual enterprise trying to bolt it on after deployment.

The Foundation Comes Before Agents

Amit Zavery opened Day 2 by naming the root cause of failed AI programmes: the patchwork enterprise. Only 19% of businesses are seeing real results from AI. The models are not the problem. The foundation is.

ServiceNow’s response is a unified four-layer platform architecture: Sense, Decide, Act, Secure, with the AI Control Tower as its single governance layer across all four.

Workflow Data Fabric expands to 250+ connectors with Zero-Copy technology. The Context Engine gives any model a live, continuously updated map of the enterprise, automatically inheriting its security and governance. 20 AI Specialists were also launched across Finance, IT, HR, Procurement, Security, CRM, and Legal.

The Governed Enterprise Gets a Blueprint

Heath Ramsey, Group VP AI Platform, presented the ServiceNow Australia release, the first regional instance fully embedding Sense, Decide, Act, Secure at the platform level. Announcements included AI Agent Advisor for live automation discovery, Knowledge Centre for data hygiene, Dynamic Guidance for in-platform user assistance, Intelligent Approvals for policy-uniform decision-making, and AI Agent Evaluator for pre-deployment agent testing.

CreatorCon made the stakes concrete: an ungoverned AI agent deleted an entire production database in 9 seconds. ServiceNow Build Agent and the WarpSpeed preview for non-developers building on live production data were positioned as the governed alternative.

Where Aelum Stands After K26

Three days in Las Vegas made one thing clear to our team: governance is no longer optional, and no longer early. What K26 reinforced is that the value we bring as a ServiceNow Partner has never been more directly aligned with what enterprises urgently need. The work of readying data, scoping agent permissions, governing workflows, and building on a platform that enforces accountability by design is precisely where implementation depth matters.

Aelum works with enterprises to build that foundation, from AI readiness assessments and data governance architecture to the deployment of autonomous workflows across IT, HR, CRM, and security. The announcements at K26 validate the direction we have been moving with our clients. Let’s build what’s next. Talk to our ServiceNow experts.
